Ari is grateful for how far she's come and how much she has accomplished in her life even as she has overcome so many obstacles some of which weren't hers, to begin with. Yet, she still feels as if she's missing something. Could it be the relationship she always wanted with her absent father? The desire to be finally loved and accepted by her abusive mother? Or could it just be some remnants of her past chastising her present and threatening her future?

Isaiah is a young man seasoned by a tough upbringing and a few wrong turns from here and there which has paid him handsomely in Godly wisdom. Enough to pursue and thrive in his career as a therapist. He is however not a perfect man of which he knows all too well. This is the reason he is driven to find ways to make up where he has fallen short in life. But there's a thin line between desperately grasping for perfection and humbling oneself to be perfected by God. One of them means some of those things most precious will be neglected.

Noah has dodged death a few times in his life yet he is no stranger to death itself. Having lost both his parents unexpectedly a few years ago he still struggles with grief and depression. He moved to a new city, rededicated his life to God, and met a beautiful damsel he wants to spend the rest of his life with. Yet still, his heart is broken and may if not acknowledged soon, prompt him to make some decisions that'll send an invoice for his soul.

Naomi, Noah's sister has a similar issue. Grief and depression are her constant companions. But she has learned to mask these frenemies, by focusing heavily on being a wife to her new husband and delving deep into various affairs that add to her Christian repertoire. She has learned to hide and pretend as coping mechanisms. Unfortunately, this charade may not stand a chance against the waves of life and its sometimes erratic outbursts accompanied by hell's solicitations.
